Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) increasingly affects our population as cell phones, TVs, tablets, laptops, and social media absorb our attention and distract us from being fully present in our day-to-day lives. In a 45-minute Hatha Yoga class, we will practice a sequence of different yoga poses designed to help you to improve your concentration. Flow-through a sequence of postures that will help you focus on the breath, the alignment, and the movement.

In this session, we will:

  • Learn how by focusing our gaze on one spot we can internally find equilibrium 
  • Perform postures that require us to stand on one leg while forcing us to concentrate on the present moment
  • Use this practice to soothe the nerves, reboot the system, and move circulation

What you Need to Know Before you Join:

  • You are welcome to participate with your cameras on/off
  • You don’t need to be experienced to join any of our yoga or anti-stress stretching classes (the instructor provides a series of modification for every posture)
  • You can join more than once during the same day
  • You can join with a family member or a friend
  • You don’t need any special equipment to join (instead of a mat you can use a long towel)
  • To join the class just click on the relevant hyperlink on the time you are interested to participate on the agenda above
  • You don’t need to download the Zoom application to join the room – just click on the link
